Cheese and Raspberry Spread


A pretty appetizer that tastes as good as it looks; be  prepared for requests for the recipe.  Surround it with crackers on a big platter. This makes  a lot of spread  but it will  disappear quickly.

Lay a sheet of plastic wrap over a 9" pie plate, with edges extending over.

Using a mixer, combine   4 ounces cream cheese, softened, 1 cup mayonnaise, 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese, & 3 green onions, finely chopped. Stir in 1 cup chopped pecans.  Pack into the pie plate and refrigerate for  at least an hour, until it's firm.   Invert onto a serving plate and top with  1/4 cup seedless raspberry preserves.
